Bellevue, WA — August 19, 2026 — Deposely today announced it has rebranded as Litem, marking its expansion from a deposition AI point solution to a litigation intelligence platform that spans the case. Litem, Latin for "lawsuit," is the litigation intelligence platform built on the complete discovery record, from documents through live testimony.

The company reached this point on its deposition focus. Attorneys from more than 50 Am Law 200 firms now use the platform, and it now serves more than 20,000 legal professionals across more than 10,000 depositions a month. The new name reflects where that foundation leads, taking what the company has learned and applying it across the litigation lifecycle rather than a single proceeding.

“Every innovation leader we meet has a list of AI tools that demoed well but failed in pilot. We didn’t want to be on that list, so we took a targeted approach, putting the platform through its paces before we made any real noise about it,” said Mitchell Kossoris, Co-Founder and CEO of Litem. “Now, we’re ready to take it to the next level with Litem. The facts of a case live across both documents and testimony. We’re building a platform that understands and uniquely handles both, updates the record as new evidence surfaces, and allows litigation teams to work from the whole picture instead of a fragmented, stale one.”

How Litem is Different

Most fact intelligence tools stop at documents, while Litem is built for the complete record. For most teams, extracting the most important information, organizing it, and keeping the factual record up-to-date is still entirely manual, requiring many unbillable hours and time that could better be used on strategy.

Litem Depositions (formerly the core of Deposely) was built on the platform's sophisticated fact extraction engine that can process over 100k pages of documents to build an underlying fact record which powers its proprietary set of deposition AI capabilities. Coming this Fall, Litem Facts will make that record even more useful for attorneys. With Litem Facts, legal professionals upload the full relevant case file, and in minutes, they can explore the facts with rich filters and search capabilities. Then, they can build chronologies and surface factual inconsistencies with citations to the exact words in the source documents.

Combined with Litem Depositions, attorneys get end-to-end discovery coverage. Litem Depositions will continue to reduce prep time by up to 75% with strategy, exhibits, and outline assistance. Its live analysis workspace compares testimony in real time against the factual record and the attorney’s strategy to flag inconsistencies and more during the deposition, followed by delivering instant summaries and additional analysis afterwards. The record stays current, updating in real time as testimony is captured, rather than becoming stale as transcripts come in weeks later.

The platform is organized by case phase, beginning with Litem Facts providing fact intelligence from the document record, Litem Depositions carrying through the discovery phase, and Litem Agent driving next steps based on the complete case record. The company said further phases will deepen over time as it extends across the litigation lifecycle.

Proven at the Top of the Market

The platform's reach includes more than 20,000 legal professionals, including attorneys at more than 50 of the Am Law 200 firms, along with its partner ecosystem which includes U.S. Legal Support and other major litigation service providers under the company's Litem for Agencies program. Under signed contracts, Litem is tracking to reach $10 million in annual revenue by the end of 2026. Litem is SOC 2 and HIPAA compliant.

"The Litem platform deeply considers and solves for the challenges litigators face in building a compelling narrative for their case while still being intuitive and flexible. They’re one of the best legal AI solutions out there," said Kyre Stucklin, Director of Knowledge Management at Rutan.
